Another April release that I’m madly in love with is Mean Girls. Inspired by the amazingly fabulous and wonderful early-2000s movie Mean Girls, this shawl is meant to be worn by the nice girls in your life. Or at least by the ones you like the most.
The shape of this shawl is a bit different than you may be used to – the edging stitches used means that the edges are much stiffer than the top, which allows you to wear it in oodles of different ways, and means it drapes differently than other, similarly-shaped shawls.
Playing with color is an important part of any project, in my opinion, and seeing how the two colors in this shawl worked together was so much fun.
I started a second one, using a much more subtle color pairing, and I like it just as much as the original. Now, if I do another, it will be a really in-your-face-pairing of two colors…
What about you? What colors would YOU choose for your Mean Girls?
